Jennifer Shapiro - Executive Functioning Coach
Supporting high functioning women and their families to handle daily challenges by teaching useful strategies and tools.
What is executive functioning?
Executive functioning is a set of skills that help individuals manage and regulate their thoughts, actions, and emotions in order to achieve goals. These functions include abilities such as planning, organizing, prioritizing, paying attention, shifting focus, regulating emotions, and self-monitoring. These skills are crucial for tasks such as problem-solving, decision-making, and goal-setting. Executive functions play a significant role in career and performance, social interactions, and daily life activities.
What supports are provided?
By providing personalized support and practical methods, I collaborate with women to improve their efficiency, lower stress, and boost their overall well-being. This may include: making weekly schedules, visual charts for families to use to establish routines as well as implementing organization systems. I believe that by strengthening organizational, time management, and decision-making skills, women can elevate their effectiveness, achieve their goals, and lead fulfilling lives.
Who is a good candidate for executive function coaching?
Individuals who have trouble with organizing, managing time, planning, setting priorities, controlling emotions, or staying focused are good candidates for executive function coaching. This includes people facing obstacles in their daily routines due to these challenges and those with conditions like ADHD, autism, traumatic brain injuries, or others who may find support in executive function coaching.
